- Our client is looking to hire a Butler for a permanent position based in St Morritz, Switzerland. 6 days a week, 50 to 60 hours a week.
Required skillsDriving licence (Confident driver, to provide chauffeuring services as required byPrincipal)Cooking (to home-cooking standard)Computer skills including basic typing skillsLanguages: English – to mother tongue standard. Swedish and/or Spanish - notrequired but would be beneficial.Main dutiesAssisting with opening of properties prior to Principal’s or his guests’ arrival andmaking sure the private residences are kept in a pristine conditionAssisting with closing of private residences upon departure of PrincipalAssisting with ongoing tasks concerning the running of the private properties(internally & externally), including swimming pool maintenanceTo advise and update the House Manager/Head Butler of any changes needed to bedone to Household ManualAssisting with all general household dutiesAssisting with ad hoc duties as instructed (i.e. shopping, ensuring fresh flowers ondisplay, purchasing of stationery, picking up dry cleaning etc)Cooking of meals as required using fresh high quality produceCooking and serving breakfast and lunchIf required, serving meals and drinksAssisting with organising private parties as requestedValet the Principal’s wardrobe including laundryAssisting with ensuring the private offices in the private properties are functioning,office IT equipment, printers etc working and kept up to dateAssisting with reporting any changes in furniture/art inventory to HouseManager/Head ButlerOffice administrative duties for the PrincipalAssisting with making personal care and grooming appointmentsAssisting with packing and travel preparationsTo accompany Principal on his travels worldwideTo accompany Principal as required to various functions/events or on various errandsand appointmentsChauffeur duties as requiredCar care (washing / hovering) and car maintenanceApplicantGood social skillsUnderstands concepts like being anticipatory, friendly not familiar, privacy andconfidentiality, invisible and availableAble to work independently or as part of a teamBusiness and technology capability including computers and accountingProblem solving and “get it done” attitude. Very “hands-on” and ready to pitch in.Flexible and well organisedVery resourceful, quickly learns how and where to get things done in the local area
