- Description
- We are looking for a Live-in Housekeeper/Cook required in Hove to start last week of August.
This position is to work for a lovely family with a teenage daughter in their beautiful 6 bed town house on the beach.
This is the family’s main base during term time, during the holidays the family moves to their other residences.
They are a creative family and family time is very important to them, as is peace and quiet when working at home.
You need to be sensitive to their needs and know when to give them space.
It is essential that you are incredibly organised, positive, a self-starter and able to work on your own initiative.
A sense of humour is a plus.
They are an informal family and are looking for someone who can fit in with them.
Duties to include:
· Hands on cleaning, washing and ironing to a high standard.
· Running the house, dealing with contractors and tradespeople.
· House and pet-sitting of two cats and walking a German Shepherd dog.
· Food and household shopping and some cooking (The Principals are keen cooks and into healthy eating)
. Flower arranging and care of house plants.
· Flexibility during School term times is of utmost importance. School run in the morning and pick up.
· Must be Computer proficient, able to deal with emails and on-line shopping as needed.
The family diary is on-line so you will need to liaise with the principals for the school diary and appointments etc.
Please note: Partners and pets cannot be accommodated.
Driving essential and a car is available.
Working hours: Monday - Friday approx. 40 hours per week with flexibility and occasional help at weekends.
Accommodation Provided: 1 bed self-contained basement flat with own entrance.
Salary offered: £30k Gross per annum
Start date: Last week of August
