- Description
- Our private client is looking to recruit a live-out House Manager for a position based in The Hamptons, New York City.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing and supervision of other household staff, such as housekeepers, private chefs, nannies and making sure everything is carried out correctly
- Recruiting, training, and managing the household staff
- Organising the staff rotas on a weekly basis
- Manage the housekeeping team's rota
- General management of day to day private household duties and schedules and coordination
- Organisation of shoot parties and general hospitality
- Traditional duties, including; formal table service and service of drinks
- Assisting with opening of properties prior to Principal's or his guests' arrival and making sure the private residences are kept in a pristine condition
- Assisting with packing and travel preparations
- Understands concepts like being anticipatory, friendly not familiar, privacy and confidentiality, invisible and available
- Ensuring the team cleaning and organising of the service & butler areas
- A daily stock takes on the kitchens, pantries and fridges in the house
- During down time, detailed cleaning will need to be carried out including services item such as the silver, cutlery and tableware
- Problem solving and 'get it done' attitude. Very 'hands-on' and ready to pitch in
- Flexible, well organised and work additional hours when family are in residence
- Very resourceful, quickly learns how and where to get things done in the local area
- Administration for the household
- Ensuring household items are fully stocked and maintaining household inventories
- Scheduling home maintenance and repair work, and supervising the project when necessary
- Supervising contractors, suppliers & services when necessary
- Have similar experience working for a private family within their household and continuously worked for over four years
- Flexible to travel internationally when required
