- Our private client is looking to recruit a trainee House Manager/ Junior Butler for a full time permanent role based in Suffolk.
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000pa (dependent on experience) accommodation on site will be provided (self-contained apartment)
This private household based on a private 4,500-acre country estate (two hours from London). Hidden deep in northern Suffolk, a country of gentle valleys and ancient farmland.
The Role
Working for a very private family, this role will allow you to enhance your skills to enable you to grow in capabilities and experience.
The Trainee House Manager/ Junior Butler is a hands-on role, you will be expected to get involved in all aspects of the running of a private home. You will work alongside 2 Housekeepers to ensure the Hall is kept to extremely high standards. You will prepare meals, oversee the day to day running of the hall, liaise with the Estate team for any maintenance issues and generally prepare the Hall for when the family arrive (weekends).
You will also work closely alongside the family to successfully run a variety of events (from private formal dining occasions to local community events).
This role is ideal for a person with few personal commitments, as you will be working most weekends to accommodate the needs of the family. You will be a kind hearted and professional individual who can support the family in their everyday needs. You will face many challenges but the rewards will match the sacrifice.

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
