Estate Manager in Oxfordshire
We are looking for a Professional Estate manager for our private client in Henley-on Thames to join a busy formal household
The Estate Manager has overall responsibility for the smooth running and efficient management of the Estate within the remit set by the Principal. The Estate Manager is also responsible to the Principal for the management of other properties and for providing Personal Assistance.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Hire, train, supervise and evaluate all Estate staff
Manage, control and report on the Estate budget and expenditure
Manage designated projects
Liaise with financial management, accountancy and tax advisors
Manage the Estate and Principal’s calendar
Book travel arrangements for the Principal
Organise and run large events and parties
Source items for the Principal
The above are illustrative of some of the duties the Estate Manager will be expected to fulfil to meet the requirements of the Company, Estate and Principal. It is not an exhaustive list.
Person Specification
Extensive experience in the following is essential: staff management, health & safety requirements and procedures, planning and executing social events, personal assistance for Principal.
The Estate Manager must possess a business background, either through a degree level education, a training programme or related experience
Knowledge of business and social protocol is essential
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent problem solver, with an eye for detail, an ability to plan and to prioritise workload, to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, and to deliver results under pressure
Well presented with excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent leadership, man management and motivational skills
A pro-active approach
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A good working knowledge of technology is essential
Computer literate
Ability to maintain confidential and discreet is essential
Other Requirements:
Clean, valid driving licence with no at fault accidents or convictions in last 5 years
Flexible approach to working hours and be able to work evenings and weekends
The position is Permanent, full-time, live-in or live-out for local candidates
The salary is negotiable in the region of £80k
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
