We are currently looking for a Chef to work alongside two Senior Chefs for a private family based in Geneva
Live out position – Ideally the candidate is already based in Geneva
The Client is looking for a profilewilling to learn and grow within the structure, someone who will be working with 2 senior chefs and will carry out the tasks below under their supervision.
The objective is that short term this person is able to also cook for the family and enter into a rotation with the other chefs.
The position is to fill immediately
Must speak French as well as English
Chef Overall Duties
· Daily menu planning, preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family including children and guests daily
· Preparing and cooking one meal per shift for the eligible staff daily, including during the employer absence.
· Ensuring that the residence kitchen and chef/staff kitchen is fully provisioned at all times, taking into account the guests present and any special events
· Cleaning kitchen after each meal time and ensuring all pots and cooking equipment are clean and stored.
· Detailed impeccable and cleaning of each chef/staff kitchen when departing a residence and/or rotation handing over to a second chef.
· Preparing private aircraft catering as and when required
· Follow employer purchasing and supplier specifications according to the employers specific preferences and requirements
· Keep an updated list of all foods and stores required by the employer including relevant details on the employers likes and dislikes.
· Keep an updated log of all menus and meals served.
· Occasionally meals have to be prepared at the employer’s office.
· The Employee has to keep a clear and detailed monthly budget, including original bills for the administration department at the end of every month.
· Always available on the work mobile phone supplied
· Take care of the staff car when used (keep it clean, fuel, fill in log book, etc.)
· Communication is a key to success. Please follow and keep lines of communication open at all times.
Salary Package
CHF 110,000 brut annual salary – 80K pounds
Annual bonus up to CHF 9K
Pension plan on-top of the Swiss AVS
Accident insurance
Reimbursement of KM with own vehicle (a valid driving license and vehicle is required)
Meal and uniforms
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
