We are looking for a professional Domestic couple for our private client in Oxshott, Surrey
The position is permanent, live-in, full time
Hours: Monday - Friday working 8am – 8pm
The household is energetic, full of life and lots of fun. The house is extensive over 4 floors, with 8 bedrooms, family rooms, gym, pool, cinema, playroom for kids the children and a large garden. The kitchen is the heart of the home and the family spend the majority of their time there playing or working. The Principal has 3 lovely young children who live with him part time, ages 4, 6, and 9 - the children have a nanny who is live in while they are at the property who is responsible for their care; however, some there may be some ad hoc childcare duties so previous experience of a busy family home required.
The Staff: The homeowner runs a large group of companies, as well as a charity foundation and works from home on a daily basis; running regular meetings from his office. He has two assistants who work daily from the home and assist in running both his business and personal life. You will work closely with his assistants and the family nanny to ensure the general running of this busy household is always maintained to a high standard
Housekeeping and Cooking: You will be responsible for completing general housekeeping duties including but not limited to laundry, ironing, cleaning, organising and maintaining the cleanliness of bedrooms and rooms in the home. The level of cooking will vary depending if there are guests in the house or his children are visiting. However, as a general rule breakfast, lunch and dinner will be required daily, and cooking should be completed to a high standard at all times. Occasional dinner party cooking / event hosting may be required for which notice will be given; at these times menu planning, liaising with caterers and staff will be required.
Handyman/ Gardener/ Driver: You will be responsible for maintaining all garden and outside areas of the house, duties including but not limited to; mowing the lawn, weeding, maintenance of water fountain, ensuring patio and driveway is clear and are well maintained. The maintenance of the boiler room, pool, sauna, jacuzzi and summerhouse will also be your responsibility. On occasion you will be required to drive the principal / family to engagements as well as maintaining all vehicles (including super cars / quads / bicycles / children’s cars) – ensuring they have adequate petrol, cleaned prior to use, have no mechanical problems, taking them to services etc. In your role you will be required to manage contractors performing any work on the property.
This job is a live-in role, where you will be in the house in ‘staff quarters’ with a bedroom / living area and separate kitchen. You will also have use of one of the family cars; although having your own car is required for personal use. Weekend domestic cover is provided by an additional housekeeper; however if there are functions over the weekend (such as birthdays / events) your attendance may be required and time off will be given in lieu. The couple must be well spoken, well presented and fluently speak English and the ability to drive is essential.
Salary: 60 – 70K (for couple)
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
