Travelling private chef

Working as one of 2 Private Chefs for an UHNWI, across multiple residences worldwide. Catering for all of the Principal's meals as well as for guests when he is entertaining and working lunches in the office as and when required. 

You will be London based as the family are in London around 80-100 days a year. However, this role requires a lot of travel, so you must be fully flexible and available, often at short notice. Travel to North America, Caribbean, Switzerland and Europe up to 8 weeks or more a year, including 6/7 weekends. 

 

Previous experience of working for a Private family or within fine dining restaurants. Handover will be provided.  

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

" Catering for all meals and snacks when Principal and family are in residence

" Must have a high knowledge of Italian cuisine and also super healthy modern style Mediterranean cuisine

" Previous experience or background/studies of nutrition for athlete or similar 

" Catering for home entertaining / guests / special events - liaising with the Principal to ensure their expectations are exceeded

" Preparation of meals for aircraft 

" Retain a flexible approach to menus and respond proactively to changing schedules and the Principal's requests

" Purchasing good quality ingredients from suppliers (online and in shops), managing and storing deliveries

" Working to a budget

" Using existing (and sourcing new) suppliers; butchers, fishmongers, etc. 

" Ensuring the kitchen and equipment are maintained to a high standard

" Able to work independently and within a team during periods of travel

" Communicating professionally and effectively with PAs, House Manager and other household staff to support the smooth running of the family's household/s

" Able and willing to work at 'holiday' times (i.e. Bank holidays / Christmas etc.)

" Accommodation provided when travelling 

 

 

The ideal candidate will be someone who is serious about the job and looking to make a long-term commitment. You will need to have a good work ethic, be able to work within a close-knit team and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.



Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
