- Description
- Our client is looking for a permanent, part-time (24 hours / 3 days per week) nanny/housekeeper in a busy, pet-free, family home in SE London (Sydenham) with two working, professional parents.
They have two wonderful boys - 4 month old baby and a 6 year old
The family home:
Large, 5 double bedroom Edwardian house including 2 rarely used guest bedrooms. 1 of the bedrooms is a master suite with dressing room. 2 large reception rooms, 2.5 bathrooms (family bathroom, large en-suite and downstairs WC) kitchen-diner, home office, gym, laundry room, and entrance hall
Trustworthy, (child) friendly, and enthusiastic housekeeper that takes pride in their own and has experience of working autonomously to the very highest standards
Clean driving licence and own car required. Mileage reimbursed at standard rate.
Somebody with the initiative, experience and drive to plan the weekly, seasonal and deep cleaning activities managing their time accordingly
" Regular tidying, dusting and cleaning of the home to the highest standards
" Seasonal and deep cleaning including inter alia, cleaning the windows, ovens, light fittings, etc
" All laundry and ironing
" Changing linen and towels frequently
" Receiving and putting away weekly online shopping (but not ordering)
" Keeping the refrigerator clean and throwing away out of date items
" Emptying the bins
" Keeping paths and steps clean and tidy
" Maintaining a list of any products that require replenishing, repairs around the home that are required or other jobs that need attending (e.g. cleaning the guttering) and where necessary researching, booking and paying for such services
" Dealing with tradespeople (i.e. letting them in and ensuring the safety of the home) including the gardener
" Handling petty cash and holding personal credit card information securely
" Answering the door and accepting parcels
" Watering small number house plants
During term times:
Two afternoons per week, driving 30 minutes (each way) to collect our 6 year old son from school
Supervising him once at home ensuring he is safe and happy
Preparing a simple meal and cleaning away for the 6 year old twice per week
Occasional evening babysitting (for additional pay)
Very occasionally running small, local errands such as posting parcels
In extremis, collecting the baby from a local nursery
Salary: on experience
Suitable candidates will be contacted within 7 working days.
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
