We are looking for a Junior Butler for our Private client in Monaco
The position is permanent, full time, live-in or live-out
General Duties:
Wardrobe Management - high attention to detail, takes pride in seemingly small tasks, willing to be trained up to and work to the Principal’s specifications.
Laundry/Pressing Packing/Unpacking
Great in the Kitchen - enthusiastic about food & quality ingredients. No requirement for a qualification as training will be given.
Light Meal preparation Serving refreshments/drinks
Formal Table service & setting (on occasion)
General household duties - working under the House Manager and with the housekeeper to ensure continual upkeep of residences
Managing smart home systems, alarm systems etc… - must be technologically savvy, past experience using similar systems is desirable.
Travelling ahead/behind the household to set up/close down the residence Travelling with the household to assist
Running errands & Chauffeuring - must have clean EU driving licence and be confident driving luxury vehicles in both the UK (central London) & Europe.
Caring for valuable possessions such as antiques, silverware, china, wine cellar… Training will be given, so the most important is an innate eye for detail and willingness to learn.
General administrative tasks - must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office programs as well as knowledge of Apple products.
You will be assisting the House Manager in caring for the Principals and ensuring the continual smooth-running of their household. Lengthy experience in a similar role is not necessary as full on-the-job training will be given, but you must have an innate desire to excel in all aspects of your job, a meticulous eye for detail and a willingness to learn from others and conform to the Principal’s standards and requirements. Your confident personality means you are able to take control of situations but also get on well with and work well with others. You will be well-presented at all times and highly organised, someone who can be pro-active when necessary but also happy to take specific direction when required by the Principal or the House Manager.
This is an excellent role for someone who is ambitious and willing to learn; promotion to House Manager is a definite possibility for the right candidate. You will enjoy a role that is very busy and diverse, be willing to “muck-in” and have a drive to get things right. A passion for food and wine will assist in having a good relationship with the Principal.
The role is based from their home in the South of France but you must be willing and able to travel for several weeks at a time on a regular basis with the Principals within Europe and occasionally worldwide.
Accommodation is always provided.
Essential requirements:
Clean Driving Licence
Excellent communication skills in English, with French being desirable but not required Previous experience in a private household
Computer Literate
Valid Passport & work permit.
Salary is negotiable in the region of £30K
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
